Odyssey Works is proud to offer experience design and consulting services to some of the world’s most forward-thinking teams and organizations.

Our design services are quite broad, and our network of designers is deep. Let us know what you’re dreaming of, and if it’s the right fit we’ll make it happen in an extraordinary way.

We offer holistic experiential analyses of your projects, short and long-term experiential planning, and ground-up ideation and design. If you have an interesting project, a meaningful project, or a long-term vision that needs to be founded in experience, please reach out.
We have worked with religious organizations and tech giants, academic institutions and immersive theater productions. Our only requirement of the clients who come to us is that they are open to doing things in a radically different way.
Our primary offerings include:

The Experiential Audit
A top to bottom analysis of all the designed or proposed elements of anything you’re working on. It begins with clarification of the experiential aim of the project and then analyzes everything - from narrative to neuroaesthetics to worldbuilding from that perspective. Finally, utilizing diagrams and narratives, we deliver a report on how the current project aligns with its aims, and where changes may need to be made.

The Extraordinary Path
A long-term vision for the experience you wish to create. This may be a series of events over years, an outreach campaign, a project launch and long-term development strategy, the development and maintenance of a community, or something else.

We’ve helped tell some incredible stories.

Yoshua Bengio at TED 2025
We worked with Yoshua Bengio and the team at MILA to bring Bengio’s warning of the dangers of out-of-control AI to the world. A writing and design project, considering the screen as a partner in the performance of the talk rather than a glorified whiteboard, we turned the talk into an immersive experience for the audience at home and in Vancouver. The talk was the first step in the Extraordinary Path toward changing the way we understand ethical development of AI. It served as material for challenges to Sam Altman and others in the industry, receiving 400,000+ views in its first two weeks online.
Some of the Experiential tools we employed for this talk include:

Awe & Wonder
The audience must deeply feel the stiuation.

Embodiment
When an argument is embodied, it feels like a life experience, not just an idea.

Personalization
If the risk and reward can be felt at a personal scale we can extrapolate to the apocalyptic scale.

Narrative Structure
Something to work towards before something to work against.
The Community Library
An AI enabled interactive installation for the Google School for Leaders. This installation involved AI conversationalists on old-fashioned telephones and a projection-mapped book that was built in real time to reflect the interests of the community. It was designed to be an archive of what the regular people at a gathering thought with the goal of elevating
the ideas of those who were not presenting keynotes and workshops, and to make connections between participants along the way.

STOREHOUSE Experiential Audit
Experiential Audit (excerpt) for Sage and Jester for an immersive theater experience built in London on the banks of the Thames. We did a top to bottom analysis of all the world-building, narrative, aesthetic, event-ness and other aspects of the experience they were creating and offered a path forward more aligned with the experience they wished to create.
